Not all things for online support animated icons though. To solve this have a file named "favicon" with an extension of what it is at root of public_html or whatever would be like gugquettex.com/favicon.type for your site. Doing this you will have an animated icon and you will have an icon in most if not all browsers and search engines. I know Ecosia only shows favicon.ico at gugquettex.com/favicon.ico. Animated favicon is good, this is better. I recommend .ico file format because it came up on mine, png did not.
